Birmingham Clean Air Zone

The Clean Air Zone is in operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and covers an area of the city centre within the A4540 Middleway.

Over 300 road signs are in place to alert drivers about the Clean Air Zone.

From M6 Leave the M6 at Junction 6 and follow signs for A38M Birmingham Central. Stay on the A38M in the second lane for approximately 2 miles following signs for Birmingham City Centre. Pass over the flyover above Lancaster Circus (Aston University is on the left). Proceed through St Chads Queensway tunnel. On leaving the tunnel, move into the left-hand lane and continue up to Paradise island. Take the first available exit from Paradise, heading down Suffolk Street Queensway. Stay in the left-hand lane and take the first left into Brunel Street. At the bottom of Brunel Street turn right, passing under the Queensway elevated section, after which the road bends round to the left. The entrance to the car park is on your right. From M5 Leave the M5 at Junction 3. At the motorway island follow signs for Birmingham City Centre (A456). Keep on the A456 (Hagley Road West) for approximately 2 miles. At the first set of traffic lights (the junction of the A4123) carry straight on following signs for Birmingham City Centre (A456). Carry straight on over the second set of traffic lights, Hagley Road West becomes Hagley Road as you enter Edgbaston. After a further 2.5 miles you will approach Five Ways island (do not take the tunnel under Five Ways). Take the third exit onto Islington Row Middleway (A4540). Take the second left into Bath Row, which leads into Holloway Head. At the roundabout (Holloway Circus) turn left into Suffolk Street Queensway. Take the second left and immediate right which takes you along the front of The Mailbox. At the next junction turn left, which takes you to the car park entrance.
